چکیده

Magnetometers are important sensors with applications in the attitude determination and control systems of satellites. CubeSats have certain limitations related to power, mass, volume. Due this, CubeSat magnetometers not separated from other electrical circuits inside satellite. Thus, it is calibrate magnetometer, simulating operating conditions while satellite running before launch. However, due limited facilities, every able its properly on ground. This study focuses calibration on-orbit magnetometer data observed by BIRDS-3 a genetic algorithm. High oscillations total magnetic field were found measured CubeSats. Nine unknowns, scaling factors, non-orthogonal angles, offsets identified paper discusses factors that affect high data. For calibration, we used similar those model field, as deviation smaller. presents accuracy determining unknowns using algorithm, well interchangeability answers additional orbit same method can be future or after

In-orbit magnetometer bias and scale factor calibration

Magnetometers are widely used for LEO small satellites attitude determination and control system. In order to estimate satellite dynamics and control attitude accurately, scale factor and bias of magnetometer must be estimated. In this study a linear Kalman filter (LKF) based algorithm for the estimation of magnetometer biases and scale factors is proposed. Proposed algorithms are simulated thr...

Camera Calibration Using Compound Genetic-simplex Algorithm

The paper presents a novel camera calibration method using a two-step approach. First, a genetic algorithm is used to find a good enough approximation of the solution. Then a multidimensional unconstrained nonlinear minimization (Nelder-Mead simplex) algorithm is used to refine the solution. This approach avoids errors due to linearizations and automatically finds a very good initial point for ...
